Kitchen Connections Pie Party Fun

Families connected through cooking together at the Kitchen Connections Pie Party at Port Hardy Civic Centre on January 31.

The event celebrated Family Literacy Week (Jan. 25-Feb. 1) and the theme "Make mealtime family learning time."

Families worked together to prepare a warm, flaky chicken pot pie and mud pie dessert. Children received a "Mud Pie Master Chef" medal.

Cooking together is a great learning activity that includes reading, numeracy, motor skills, cooperation and bonding!
